ARSCwrf, a twice-daily operational WRF forecast over Alaska has been running in its current configuration since January 2008 with an outer nest of 18 km resolution, a middle nest at 6 km, and an experimental inner nest at 2 km. Since early July 2008 an automated post-processing activity has run daily, comparing surface observations with ARSCwrf forecasts at the station locations. These comparisons are being archived and are available for long-term analysis of model performance. This presentation will highlight the trends between surface observations and forecasts for the six-month period beginning July 2008.
