Schedule/Venue
- This will be a two-day symposium held at the University of Alaska
Fairbanks campus on Tuesday and Wednesday, 15-16 March 2011. The
Elvey Auditorium will be used for presentations and the Elvey Globe Room (across the hall from the auditorium) will be used for posters, snacks, lunches, and weather briefings.
[Campus Map]
- UAF Visitor Parking information. In short, there is a ticket kiosk in the parking lot behind (to the north of) Elvey.
- Light breakfasts and full lunches will be provided. Evening meals will be on-your-own, with an organized evening out (pay on your own) at the Pump House.
- Wireless Internet is available
Presenter Logistics
- Keynote presentations are 30 minutes + 10 minutes for questions
- Regular presentations are 15 minutes + 5 minutes for questions
- Computer will be provided for slides. To avoid problems in computer-switching, we would prefer that you bring your presentation on a USB device and copy to the default computer. However, if you have special needs and are unable to do this, we will do our best to accomodate you. The computer should have PPT 2007 installed, but it might be prudent, if possible, to have your presentation in an older format, "just in case."
- Poster boards will accomodate 4' x 8' posters.
- We would like to collect all slides and PDF copies of posters for archiving on the conference web site. We will (with your permission) collect these on site, or you may email in advance to Don.Morton@alaska.edu.
