WRF Tutorial - June 2009
Friday, 26 June, 09:00-17:00 [Postponed from 23 June]
WRRB 009 (ARSC Classroom)
Preliminaries
- I am trying to limit enrollment to twelve attendees. There is no formal registration procedure - just send me an email at morton@arsc.edu and let me know you're planning to attend.
- Please make sure that - before attending this tutorial - you have an ARSC account, a SecurID card, a current password, and that you have access to midnight. The process of setting up an account can take several days, so it would be important to get started now. [ARSC Account Information]
- I don't anticipate having any sort of formal lunch break other than, perhaps, a 30 minute break sometime around noon, so please plan your food needs accordingly.
- I am assuming attendees are Unix literate. If this is not the case, please be prepared to team up with someone who is Unix literate.
- Attendance at the WRF Overview Tutorial on 17 June 2009 would be helpful, but not absolutely necessary. The Overview tutorial will only be three hours long and will quickly take you through the background of WRF and procedures for running it. This tutorial will be much more hands-on, with much less overview material.
